A Slight Change of Tack Here!

There is going to be a slight change here in so much there will be new entries here which will have links to another online journal and scrap book, called The Aethernaut’s Log and The Authernaut’s Halt receptively, so I can post links on them on Facebook.

I have to do this because of Facebook’s policy that anyone who uses a Dynamic DNS are spammers regardless of the fact that people like myself have to use Dynamic DNS to convert a dynamic IP address into a static IP address so we can host web sites at home.

I find this assumption of Facebook to be offensive and really shows a real lack of understanding of their users especially those like myself who are bit of hobbits with software and web sites. Ironic really as Facebook cannot exactly take the high moral grounds after their recent behaviours during the General Elections and EU Referendum here in the United Kingdom. They as a company have allowed certain Right-Wing Political parties to spam people and post blatantly false news so I find their actions really hypocritical indeed!

Just to let everyone know I will still add journal entries here every few while but as not as much as I have in the past.

All Change At The Next Stop Please!

It feels like time to change the name of this blog come journal to reflect where I am currently not where I was when I started the journal. As over the years my life has changed greatly to a point I do not feel lost any more but starting to look forward and think what I want to achieve in the future.

At the same time I will change the look of the whole blog to reflect the change as I feel a new look will help to give the blog a whole new feel.

As now I and back to running role-playing games and having a growing interest in all things Steampunk along with myself contemplating serious about writing more I thought a change of name was needed.

So here ends the Journal of the Lost Soul and the Chronicles of the Steam Powered Storyteller starts with the hopes of a brighter future.

The Lighter Side of Life!

This is a gentle reminder to the readers of this journal of mine that I also write/create another journal along side this one whose content is far less serious as this journal is meant to be more of a serious journal.

This journal called Patterns in the Static, whose link is given blow, is meant to be lighter journal which includes my favourite music, comedy sketches and clips which range from my favourite adverts to You Tube clips. It is meant to be an epileptic and sort of random depending on the mood I am in at the time.

This journal will also contain a lot of my own writing connected to my Role-Playing hobby which will include background, race and other ideas as they come to me. There are not the best pieces of my writing but give a very good idea of my creative processes and my imagination.

Patterns in the Static!

Over the past year you would have seen a change in the form of my Journal of a Lost Soul in so much its content are becoming more wordy, serious and political in nature. This is very deliberate as I have decided to split the more serious journal entries from the more lighter entries into two journals so each do not detract from each other.

That is the Journal of Lost Soul has become more serious and focused on the trials and tribulations of my life with depression plus life in general without it being lost in the lighter side of my life as it has more serious purpose.

It is my second journal Patterns in the Static! which will reflect the lighter side of my life which will include pictures, music, comedy and the such. It will also if anyone wants to also see my lighter and creative side of my life you should look at this journal come scrapbook or if you need a more balanced view of my life follow both journals.

Patterns in the Static! is meant to be a fun a light place to dip into never knowing just what you find there.

An Island of Sanity In a Sea of Insanity!

At the moment one of the few things which is keeping me attached to the world around me are my two blogs in which I can vent my frustration about my depression and the world around me. This is a very sad thing to say but for those of us who suffer with our depression things like this can mean a lot and a difference between winning the fight or falling in to depression itself.

This may seam a small thing to those who have never suffered depression though for those who do and have suffered depression will understand where I am coming from. A blog is always a good place to get some of the feelings and thoughts trapped inside especially when the depression has a grip. It sounds strange but writing down some of feelings and thoughts seam to remove them from my mind where they could cause even more damage to myself.

But it does mean at times the blogs ramble and sometimes rant at times but it does mean it helps me to keep sane and attached to the world around me even it is through words and very few readers!

All Change On the Blog Front!

With the change of my Home Page to using WordPress I have also decided to do few changes to my two main blogs at the same time as an over all is long over due and I felt like a change myself.

So in the next few months this blog will become a more serious blog and a lot of the less serious entries of this blog will be moved to my new blog which will contain all lighter stuff including pictures music, short stories and the such.

The new blog is called ‘Patterns in the Static’ and is hosted on my server at home again using WordPress and it is meant to be a chaotic mess of images, pictures and the such. Plus it will be a lot lighter in nature than my main blog deliberately.

I want the two sides separated as each seam to detract from each other so my serious blog makes it’s points without the distraction of more trivial things and the less serious blog not to be bog down with serious stuff so it is more fun.

So watch this space as things change again into something new and slightly different!

Acta Spiritu Amisso Continues On Its Merry Way!

Acta Spiritu Amisso is my more personal and light hearted of my blogs which finally starting come together all helped by myself being more settled.

Those people who followed by main blog for the music, funny clips and the such would of noticed the main blog is now a more serious blog mostly because I wanted this blog to be a far more serious blog.

So anyone who wants such things from my blogs should go to my blog Acta Spiritu Amisso where I will now put such things including including a lot of pictures of my own life and home. Sadly the nature of the blog means that there is no follow mechanism as in WordPress so the blog has to be visited directly every few while.

All Change on the Journal Front!

Because I now have the ability to host a blog on one of my Linux Computers at home there will be a slight change to emphasis to this blog which will concentrate more on the more serious things while a lot of the more personal things will be covered in the other blog more.

It will also mean this blog will only be updated once a week as it currently is while the other blog will be updated daily though it will be a more rough and ready blog. Though the new blog will not be as publicised as much as this blog.

Cutting Out the Dead Wood!

Since only concentrating any publicizing any of my journal entries here on WordPress on the major Social Web sites life has been a lost easier as the whole process of writing journal entries has become much slicker and less laborious.

One thing that did come out from the exercise was that outside of the social web sites Facebook, Twitter, Yahoo and MSN few other social web sites are as popular or far too specialised. You might say the big four currently have the social web sites nicely stitched up.

No, I had not forgotten Google as their one attempt to get into the Social Web sites, Google Buzz, is sort of a flop big time!

With a Sadness!

I  always with a sadness in my heart I watch people around me judge myself and the world around them with only their eyes and not with their hearts and minds!

They seemed to be focused on the visual more than the mind which always surprises me in a species which claims to be intellectually superior to other animals on the planet Earth .

These said people do not even read my journal because they have already decided what I am going to write in my journal in so much it is just going to me just ranting on and on about the same things. This sadly includes friends and acquaintances who have already pre judged me!

It could be I am one of the few people left in our modern world who uses more than just his eyes to observe the world and people around him so is not so quick to prejudge people on purely the way they look!

Of the Pointless!

It seems like forums there are those people out there who insist on being rude, unpleasant or trying to sell you something when making comments about some of my journal entries. It seems they have nothing better to do other than the said actions.

Those who choose just to insult the blog writer in their comment for no apparent reason other than it was a good thing to do at the time strikes me as a pointless effort much like the people who made the comments in the first place! You really have to wonder where these people are coming from especially any descent bogging software now allows the blog writer to approve of comments before they go public which further makes their efforts doubly wasted and pointless!

But like their counterparts on the forums these people think it is their god given right to insult people and carry on regardless of the fact the only person they are truly harming and making  a laughingstock are themselves. I suppose they must like urinating in the wind or doing other such pointless tasks. 🙂

This will be one of the rare occasions when the same journal entry will appear in both of my journals as the point has to be made in two places!

More Changes on the Way

It is looking like I will start to use my two WordPress Journals as my main blogs as WordPress is a far better tool for maintaining blogs in general. At the moment I am still wondering why I did not use the software earlier.

This will mean eventually my blog on Opera, Thoughts of Chairman Turner, at some point in the future will stopped being updated but the entries will be kept as an archive  of my older blog entries which I have no intention of moving into this blog. It is going to be a bit of a shame stopping my Opera Blog but My Opera is more suited to being a social web site than a blogging site.

At the moment it is more Horses for Courses.

Second Life Blog Has Moved!

I have moved my Second Life Journal from Tumblr to WordPress mainly because WordPress is a far better place to write and maintain my Second Life blog from also due to the fact that Tumblr has not been the most reliable blogging sites in the past from my experience.

This does mean that the link to my Second Life Blog in the  ‘Please Note:…’ message at the bottom of my blog entries here will not work for blog entries before this entry as they point to the old Tumblr based Second Life Blog.
