With our General Elections here in the United Kingdom in May got me thinking about our modern democracy here. That it our democracy is now dominated by voter and political apathy which is making our whole political system a mockery.
All not helped by a political system and parties who have drifted away from the very people who vote them in the General Electorate who they should serve. They have turned into a self serving body which now seams incapable of change.
Then the three major political parties make the comment that people do not vote any more or even engage with the whole political system but it is exactly these three political parties whose actions have disengaged the electorate from the political system.
Basically the major political parties have in recent decades put votes and their pay masters first rather than the people they served. Add to this they sold out their political ideals for votes to a point there is no real differences between them. Then they wonder why people do not vote any more after all people see it as pointless as whatever political party gets into power nothing will change.
As the General Elections loom the three major political parties are once again failing to engage with the electorate and country as a whole to a point you not know there was a General Election other than the local councils sending out forms to do with the electoral roll here.
So once again apathy is going to make a mockery of our democracy and highlights we really do need a real change in our political system as if things carry on like this it will spell the end of our great democracy and country.
