Reactive and Proactive!

Posted: 4 August, 2011 in Comment, Life

I have to weep at frustration with people I have to deal with on a daily basis who either do not understand what the words reactive or proactive or claim the said words are corporate jargon!

Why do I weep? Because both reactive and proactive are not hard words to understand or use in the English Language and they are certainly not corporate jargon but real English words.

But what it does show is in this modern world of ours is just how poorly read modern people are. It seems they are quite happy to sit in front of the TV or play computer games both of which far from make them better read as most modern media is designed to entertain rather than inform or edify.

Add to this the fact the large majority of people now do not regularly curl up with a good book and proud of the fact it is not surprising that they are not well read and end up with a very limited understanding of their own native language English.

So now we live in a world populated by poorly read people which frankly is not a very pleasant place for us who actually bothered to read and a frustrating place for them as they do not have the full understanding of language to truly understand the world around them.

So now I weep and scream at those around me out of frustration lamenting what the modern world is becoming a dark place for those of us who bothered to keep reading and learning all our lives.
