This is a sad lament for Tom and Jerry Cartoon which is now not allowed to be shown on the Television in the United Kingdom because it is too violent and potentially racist. All this in a country which allows Computer Games which are far more violent and damaging to be sold over the counter and allows the existence of the British National Party both of which are far more violent and racist than Tom and Jerry ever was!
So I will include the Tom and Jerry Cartoon on my Journal so people of my generation can enjoy the simple pleasure of watching real cartoons again not the pale reflections of the modern cartoons which conform to the restrictions of the modern political correctness.
A statement against political correctness has to be made and this is my first stand against it!

Too violent and potentially racist? It’s a cartoon for goodness’ sake, made in the 1940′s and 50′s about a cat, a mouse and other obviously non-human characters, a fact that obviously eluded whoever came up with this example of modern day political correctness gone mad. There is currently far more violent imagery in computer games and on television, so this latest ruling serves only to highlight the people who made it as a bunch of mindless jerks, desperately scratching about to find something to do in an effort to justify their bloated salaries.
